Andy Symonds headed 124 runners to win Saturday’s Pentland Skyline Hill Race covering the 16 mile course with 6200ft of climbing in 2.31.38. Alasdair Anthony (Ochil Hill Runners) placed second in 2.33.04 and Grant Stewart (Edinburgh Athletic Club) was third in 2.34.39. There were around a dozen Carnegie harriers at the race yesterday. Conditions underfoot were fine – much better than last year’s mud!
Tommy Lawrence got 2nd senior, (3rd overall), Gail Murdoch got 2nd vet and Angela Wallace 3rd super vet. Fife AC won both ladies’ and men’s team prizes.
Apart from those mentioned we had Ryan McKenzie, Steve Greer, Allan Wilson, Mick Cowie, Sid James, Linda James, Morna Fleming and me. Linda set a PB.
