Inverclyde´s Kevin Kane wins Friday´s Two Mile Race
There was a superb turnout of 35 runners at the Friday Evening Race Series two miler in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline. Inverclyde´s Kevin Kane clocked an impressive 10.01 to win a closely contested race ahead of Pitreavie AAC´s John Newsom who finished 2nd in 10.01 with Kenny Anderson 3rd in 10.19. Pitreavie´s Chris Rennison finished leading junior in 11.00 and Carnegie´s Peter Humphreys was the 1st M40 in 11.09. Gordon Pryde (Lomond Hill Runners) placed 1st M50 in 12.23.

Ten Harriers brave the heat at the Edinburgh Marathon
A very well done to all 8527 runners who completed Sunday’s Edinburgh Marathon which was ran in extremely warm temperatures for distance running. The Edinburgh race which is now the UK’s second largest participation marathon was a resounding success and congratulations to all the Carnegie runners who took part.

Great weather for a race
Carnegie Harriers Tommy Lawrence was in top form at Sunday’s Dunfermline City Half Marathon clocking an impressive 1.16.25 finishing 8th overall and 1st local runner for the 5th year in succession!

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Carnegie at Cateran Trail Race
The annual Cateran Trail Individual and Relay Races took place on Saturday morning from Blairgowrie finishing some 23 miles later at the Spittal of Glenshee. Long distance specialist Scott Bradley enjoyed a very strong run reaching the finish in 1st position in 3.05.38. 2008 individual winner Richie Cunningham placed 2nd overall in 3.12.00 this year and well done to Pete Simpson who finished 3rd and leading M50 in 3.14.00. Helena Sim placed 2nd F40 in 4.28.32.
