Tour of Fife – Day 3

22 Harriers complete Stage 3 of the Tour of Fife
The Tour of Fife reached Day 3 of the 5 race series on Friday with 159 runners completing the punishing 2.25km Uphill Road Time Trial. Campbell Hutt reached the top of the climb in a very fast 11.07 (11th overall) followed by Stevie Ogg who was 14th in 11.29. Steven King was 29th in 12.14 and Ian Johnston placed 31st in 12.18.Isobel Burnett found the time trial to her liking placing 4th leading and 1st F50 in 13.51 while Pauline Walker was the leading F45 (9th lady overall) in 14.16. Gail Murdoch reached the top of the 754 feet climb in 14.36 (13th lady).

Tour of Fife – Day 2

Tour of Fife Stage 2 – Chariots of Fire Beach Race
Campbell Hutt maintained his position of leading Carnegie runner after Stage 2 (‘Chariots of Fire’ Beach Race) of the Tour of Fife. The West Sands in St Andrews was the venue for the 2nd race in the five race series with this year’s course slightly shorter than the normal four mile distance due to the incoming tide.

Tour of Fife Information

This Wednesday the annual Tour of Fife starts with 150 runners taking part in five races over five consecutive days across varying terrain.  Carnegie Harriers have an incredible 26 members entered and we wish them the very best for the challenging event.  Please check the Fife AC website for further information at www.fifeac.co.uk and route details of the races can be found below
