The 10th anniversary of the Cateran Trail Relay saw Carnegie Harriers field six teams for the 23 mile race from Blairgowrie to the Spittal of Glenshee. The corresponding individual 23 mile race saw five Carnegie members tackle the full distance. Carnegie’s veteran mens team enjoyed a superb race winning the overall event in 2.53.06 with Carnegie senior mens team right on their tails finishing 2nd team overall in 2.53.30. Carnegie’s mixed team placed 7th overall in 3.41.10 and our ladies team were 10th overall (2nd placed ladies team) in 3.51.19. Carnegie’s Mens Team B were 14th overall in 3.57.06 and our mixed ‘B’ team were 18th in 5.07.26.

At Saturday’s Edinburgh parkrun 5k there were six Carnegie members taking part. Campbell Hutt finished 6th overall in 17.47 while Ross Carrie ran his fastest parkrun to date clocking 19.40 (28th). Kieran Morgan contesting his 14th 5k along Silverknowes promenade reached the finish in 20.16 (40th) and Morna Fleming was the leading F50 timing at 22.33 (72nd overall). Alison West finished 2nd F50 in 23.18 (81st) and Tom Maley was 7th in 30.03.

1st, 2nd and 3rd for Carnegie at Cateran Trail Race
The annual Cateran Trail Individual and Relay Races took place on Saturday morning from Blairgowrie finishing some 23 miles later at the Spittal of Glenshee. Long distance specialist Scott Bradley enjoyed a very strong run reaching the finish in 1st position in 3.05.38. 2008 individual winner Richie Cunningham placed 2nd overall in 3.12.00 this year and well done to Pete Simpson who finished 3rd and leading M50 in 3.14.00. Helena Sim placed 2nd F40 in 4.28.32.

Graham Clark Memorial Road Race – Thursday 21st August at 7.30pm
Our 3.9 mile Graham Clark Memorial Road Race takes place on Thursday evening (7.30pm) at Knockhll Racing Circuit near Dunfermline. We are hoping for a good turnout and all entries (£4 / £6) will be taken on the night from 6pm within the cafeteria at Knockhill.
