Three Harriers ventured north to Blair Atholl on Sunday to get their cross country season of to an early start. The race venue was Blair Castle and the challenging course was the same one which had been used over the weekend for the Blair Atholl International Horse Trials. The competitors faced a muddy 6k course complete with steep climbs amidst the horses footprints. Fabienne Thompson was in top form finishing 2nd overall and 1st lady in 32.53. Allan Wilson finished 5th in 34.30 and Angela Wallace was 8th (1st F50) in 35.31.

David Simpson clocks 32.35 to win Forfar 10K
Well done to David Simpson who won Sunday’s Forfar 10K Road Race in 32.35. David who has been in tremendous form having recently won the Tour of Fife and Forth Bridges 10K finished almost 90 seconds clear of 2nd placed Neil Murray (Dundee Road Runners) who completed this tough 6.2 miler in 34.04.

Carnegie Harrier in 10K action in Western Australia
Carnegie’s club secretary Iain Taylor took part in the Lake Joondalup 10K Road Race in Wanneroo, Australia on Sunday morning. Iain covered the two lap course which is in a northern suburb of Perth in 39.53 to finish 22nd in a field of around 200 runners.
