There were around a dozen Carnegie harriers at the race yesterday. Conditions underfoot were fine – much better than last year’s mud!
Tommy Lawrence got 2nd senior, (3rd overall), Gail Murdoch got 2nd vet and Angela Wallace 3rd super vet. Fife AC won both ladies’ and men’s team prizes.
Apart from those mentioned we had Ryan McKenzie, Steve Greer, Allan Wilson, Mick Cowie, Sid James, Linda James, Morna Fleming and me. Linda set a PB.

Kate and Alistair Mckinnon ran on Sunday in the Queens Half Marathon in New York City.
It was an early start as we had to get to the bus for 4.30 am. Race start was 7 am.
The course was very twisty with almost 70 corners, most of which were right angled turns. It was also very undulating with lots of uphill stretches and what seemed like a lot fewer downhill stretches.
The temperature increased quite quickly which combined with the early start and twisty undulating course made for a tough race.
Kate finished in 1.33.00 4th lady in the 30 – 39 category.
I finished in 1.33.28 taking 20 seconds or so off of my PB.
