Sunday 8th March - Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon

Frazer Munro took part in the Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon finishing 83rd in 1.32.03.

Sunday 8th March - Inverness Half Marathon

The adverse weather conditions didn’t appear to affect the six Carnegie members who undertook the challenge of the Inverness Half Marathon where Scott Bradley placed 7th overall from the 1076 finishers in 1.14.43. and Sid James set a personal best of 1.23.16 in 35th position. Gail Murdoch placed 16th lady and 2nd F40 in 1.33.48 and backed up by Lynne Kuz (1.40.02) and Linda James (1.41.16 PB) it is believed that Carnegie ladies won the team award. Steven King also finished in around 1.22.00 but due to a problem with his timing chip his result has not been recorded.

Sunday 8th March – Gartmorn 6, Sauchie by Alloa

Eleven Carnegie members contested the multi-terrain Gartmorn 6 near Alloa with Andrew Wright placing 3rd overall in 33.15. Ian Stewart clocked 34.52 in 6th position and the leading male veteran. Nick Weir enjoyed a strong run around the slippy course finishing 18th in 38.17, Kenny MacDonald was one place behind in 38.50 and Andy Hunter made a welcome return to competitive running placing 20th in 38.54. Alan Manson reached the finishing line in 42.04 (34th), Tommy Lawlor was 50th in 44.20 and Keiran Morgan contesting his second race in two days placed 62nd in 45.40. Kirsty Baird enjoyed a good return to racing clocking 47.17 and Mhairi MacKechnie made her Carnegie debut covering the challenging course in 52.31.
