Edinburgh parkrun 5k, Inverness Half Marathon & Gartmorn Six multi-terrain race

At Saturday’s Edinburgh parkrun 5k there were six Carnegie members taking part. Campbell Hutt finished 6th overall in 17.47 while Ross Carrie ran his fastest parkrun to date clocking 19.40 (28th). Kieran Morgan contesting his 14th 5k along Silverknowes promenade reached the finish in 20.16 (40th) and Morna Fleming was the leading F50 timing at 22.33 (72nd overall). Alison West finished 2nd F50 in 23.18 (81st) and Tom Maley was 7th in 30.03.

Sunday 14th March – Inverness Half Marathon The annual Inverness Half Marathon took place on Sunday afternoon attracting a field of over one thousand runners to the highland capital. Linda James was Carnegie’s only representative at the event, completing the 13.1 race in a personal best of 1.37.48 placing 28th lady and 6th in her age category.

Sunday 14th March – Gartmorn 6 At the Gartmorn Six multi-terrain race near Sauchie, Nick Weir clocked 38.11 placing an excellent 8th overall. Kieran Morgan completed the testing course in 42.48 placing 32nd, Phil Smithard was 47th in 45.20 and Mhairi MacKechnie ran 51.49 placing 83rd. There were 132 finishers
