Festive Forest Run – Saturday 20th December
Festive Forest Run – Saturday 20th December
Entries are now open for our Festive Forest Run which takes place at 11am on Saturday 20th December. It’s a testing 7 mile course in Blairadam Forest near Kelty, providing the runners with a hilly, muddy challenge through the forest… an excellent relief to the stresses of Christmas shopping. We are encouraging everyone to take part whether you are racing it or enjoying a social run through the forest. At the moment only five race entries have been received and we ask you all to enter asap.
The popular race is now in its 18th year and it is hoped that over 50 club members will take part. The race which is only open to members of Carnegie Harriers is £3.00 to enter and an entry form can be downloaded HERE. All finishers will receive a special momento and their will be prizes awarded in all categories. The closing date for race entries is Thursday 18th December and there will be no entries on the day. We are delighted that Norec who operate Longannet Power Station are sponsoring the event and their continued support is much appreciated. A recce run around the 7 mile course will be held at 10am on Sunday 14th December from the Lochornie entrance on the B914 Cleish road. Further details regarding the race can be found HERE.
