Andy Symonds sets course record at Gartmorn 6

Five Carnegie runners were amongst the 120 finishers at the Gartmorn 6 which is organised by the Wee County Harriers. The route follows a challenging but scenic six miles from Carsebridge, Sauchie to Gartmorn Dam and back.

In form Andy Symonds won the race in a new course record of 31.55 while Ian Stewart in 6th position (34.54) won the 1st M50 award. Nick Weir put in a solid performance placing 13th in 39.04 and Tommy Lawlor won the M60 prize placing 30th in 41.47.

Lesley Halstead was the sole Carnegie lady taking part and she covered the multi-terrain course in 53.36 in 91st position.
